Peter Halberstadt

Peter Halberstadt joined the Centre Street Food Pantry Board in 2022, and currently serves on both the Finance Committee and Marketing & Fundraising Committee.  He joined the board after volunteering at Centre Street, and is committed to supporting the mission and continued growth to address the recent rise in food insecurity.

Pete is currently the Chief Credit Officer of Cambridge Trust, overseeing all credit risk related functions as well as enterprise risk management. He has over 23 years of experience in the financial services industry, with almost two decades at his current company. Prior to that, he worked at Century Bank and National Cooperative Bank.  He is currently the Treasurer of the Cambridge Trust Charitable Foundation.  

Pete has a BS in Finance from Boston College and an ALM in Finance from Harvard University Extension School. He lives in Newton, with three children in the Newton school system.
