Chris Ruggeri

Chris is a mission-driven professional who joined Centre Street in June 2022 shortly after relocating back to Massachusetts. His responsibilities include food sourcing, inventory and service day management as well as oversight of the facility and services that support it. He is a trusted resource for volunteers, staff and board members who also coordinates food drives, special projects and operational improvements.

Prior to joining our organization, Chris worked at the Ronald McDonald House in Durham, North Carolina where he led volunteers and managed a resource room at Duke Children’s Hospital. The program helped to ensure patient families had access to food, lodging, and other vital resources within or outside of the hospital while their child received treatment. In particular, Chris was struck by the impact food could have on the outlook and resolve of the people he served, and the stability and relief it gave them during a difficult time. This experience fuels his passion for Centre Street’s work and mission.

Chris is thrilled to be back in New England despite the varied and unpredictable weather that often affects his work to sustain our outdoor operation. In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two children as well as playing basketball, running, and making pancakes for anyone who will eat them.
